Pre Convention

The Pre-convention Training is hosted by Common Ground Producers & Growers. Each year we host this training “For Farmers’ Sake”. We acknowledge the farmer’s role in the local food system and make it a point to inform new/beginning farmers and specialty crop growers how to increase production, be sustainable, conduct business, and make the right connections.
 
This year you will learn how to navigate these hard times, how to garden differently, marketing, how to create a value added product, and more.
 
Meals are included in the registration price. Hotel stay must be purchased separately.

Registration for this two-day training is $55, which includes dinner on day one, continental breakfast, and lunch on day two.

After filling out the registration form you will be redirected to the payment page. You must complete payment to be added to the registration list.

Scholarships are limited and priority will be given to urban and rural specialty crop farmers, and small-scale growers. Scholarships include 100% of pre-convention training registration and hotel stay or mileage.

Scholarship applications will be accepted through Friday, October 13, 2025. Applicants will be notified on October 15, 2025. The recipients of the scholarships must attend both days of the pre-convention.

The discount link for the Court Yard by Marriott Salina is available for reservations until October 16, 2025. If guests are needing shoulder dates (prior to or following convention), please book using the link, then call the hotel front desk to extend the reservation.
